How to Persist in the Superposition
How to Persist in the Superposition brings together photography and drawing by Nidaa Aboulhosn as an open-ended inquiry into perception, place, and multiplicity. The works on view are drawn directly from the artist’s book of the same name—another way of moving through the project, differently paced, differently held.
Working between direct observation and intuitive mark-making, Aboulhosn sets up a loose conversation between external environments and interior states. Images shift between recognition and abstraction, holding space for the feeling of occupying more than one reality at once.
The title borrows from quantum physics— “superposition” describing a state where multiple possibilities exist simultaneously. Here, that idea becomes a working method: images overlap, registers slip, and meaning remains in flux. Rather than resolving, the work stays with uncertainty—attending to moments of suspension, contradiction, and quiet instability.
This exhibition invites a slower kind of looking, where perception is not fixed but continually forming—somewhere between what is seen and what is felt.
