A photographic mail art show.
Open call to all photographers or people who use photographic means of production.
Send us a small work of art in the mail.
Prompt:
+ Take a Photograph
+ Print it at at scale that can be sent through the mail (no envelope)
+ Fold it and tape it (or don’t and send as postcard)
+ Write us a cute note (or don’t)
+ Address it
+ Put a stamp on it & mail it (we love usps but do your thing).

Submissions Deadline:
All works must be received by August 1st to be included in the exhibition and accompanying zine.
Expectations:
All artworks will be on sale for $35.00.
Zine price $tbd.
We are an artist-run space trying to hold it down for photographic exhibitions, conversations, and publications. All proceeds from the sale of the works and zines will go towards production costs and keeping the lights on.
All participating artists can receive a zine. Artists must include their name, return address, and sign up for our mailing list to learn how to get their copy of the zine.
Local artists will be able to pick up their zine for free. Artists outside the area will be able to receive a zine for the price of shipping & handling.
All unsold artworks will be destroyed at the end of the show.

Sinkhole is a space for slow photography—slow looking, slow making, slow meaning. Like water shaping stone, this exhibition space will unfold through gentle accumulation. It asks viewers to consider how photography exists between the image, the archive, and information, and how meaning emerges over time.
